Softball Sub Club
The Waves Softball Club is a sporting club, with both game season training and competition matches.
The once ‘Rebels Softball Club’ became Across the Waves Softball Club in January of 1996, and since that time have powered on to become the most established softball clubs in the Wide Bay area. In 2017 The Waves Softball affiliated with Hervey Bay Softball Association and participates in a home and away format, travelling to Hervey Bay approximately once every four weeks. Currently the Hervey Bay competition includes 32 teams from Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Bundaberg.
Our membership consists of both juniors (aged 5 and above) and seniors. Each season The Waves Softball aims to field at least one team in every division, including T Ball, U12, U14 and U16 (all mixed), Senior Men (A and B) and Ladies (A and B).
Training commences in August and occurs Wednesday afternoon from 4:00pm (Juniors) and Wednesday evening from 6:00pm (Seniors) at The Waves Sports Complex (Thabeban Street).
Competition fixtures are held from October to March each year with our sign-on in early August.
The Waves Softball Club has fully accredited coaches who are committed to junior development and representative duties. Players have the opportunity to represent Hervey Bay at the Softball Queensland State Championships in U14, U16, U18, U23 and Open divisions.
The Waves Softball Club is a family friendly club and are always looking to welcome new members.
