AFL Sub Club

The Waves AFL Club is a sporting club, with both junior and senior teams and game season training and competition matches. Training and home games are held at Frank Coulthard Sports Complex, Claytons Road, Bundaberg. 

Finding a new home with The Waves Sports Club in 1997, The Waves Eagles AFL Sub Club remains a successful and popular club, and this year celebrates its 16th year under The Waves banner. The club is a both a sporting and social club, incorporating junior and senior development, training and competition in AFL, as well as hosting social outings and events throughout each year.

The Eagles ALF Sub Club currently consists of seven main teams; U9’s, U11’s and U13’s in the junior teams, U15’s and U17’s in the youth teams, a senior team, and a reserve team, and has a current membership of 25 Committee members, 60 senior player members, and 85 junior and youth player members.

Training and home competition games are held throughout the March to September season each year at Coldhard Oval, with training occurring each Tuesday and Thursday between 5pm and 7pm, and competition held each Saturday. Auskick too is held for players, 7 to 9 years of age, each Friday.

The Waves AFL Eagles welcome new members of all ages, and encourage parents and volunteers to contribute with canteen and goal umpiring. New members and volunteers are welcome to make enquiries during any training or competition time at the clubhouse of Coulthard Oval.

2018 Registration Fee Information:

Registration costs for all grades includes the new season club polo.

U8|U10: $140.00

U12|U14|U16: $165.00

Seniors: $250 (this also includes game day dress shorts)

50% is payable before round 1 (or before you are eligible to play) with the remainder due by 30 June 2018.  We do offer payment plans if required and payment can be made via direct debit, cash or EFTPOS.

Please note: the Committee are always looking at ways to keep the cost to players down and a fee increase hasn't occurred for several seasons, however costs have increased to be able to have a player take the field (insurance, affiliation fees etc.).  Please be assured these fees don't cover the full costs incurred, and without the valued support of our sponsors, the costs to players would be significantly higher.  We thank you for your understanding and we wish you all the best for a successful 2018 season.
