Welcome to The Waves' free entertainment Morning Melodies, where every second Wednesday of each month we present to you entertainment from the Wide Bay, from around Australia, and even from around the world. Our Morning Melodies are completely free to enjoy, and are held between 9.30am to 12.00pm, followed by a fun and exciting raffle that you can purchase tickets for. 20 prizes are up for grabs including 10 x $10 cash and 10 random prizes.
Tickets are on sale from 9.00am each Morning Melodies show. Ticket costs are $2 each, $5 for three, or $10 for eight. The raffle is drawn at 12.00pm after the Morning Melodies show.

2018 Morning Show Schedule
Fabian started his singing career at the age of 16 when he fronted a covers band for 3 years in South Africa. After immigrating to Australia in 1974, he became semi-professional, entertaining on weekends. At the age of 34, he had done in excess of 600 shows in NSW. It was now time to turn professional.
In 2003/4 Fabian became one of the most booked artists on the Sunshine Coast. 2005 saw Fabian going to Bangkok to headline a star-studded show at the 5star Blue Wave Club. Two months and 72 shows later, Fabian headed off to South Africa for 7 months, entertaining at the world-renowned Keegans, and various other clubs doing in excess of 100 shows.
After a 4 week break in Switzerland, Fabian headed home and settled on the Gold Coast where he now resides.
Fabian specializes in music from the 60s,70's and 80s, from old-time dancing to rock n roll.
Glenn Shields has established himself as one of the most popular and versatile vocalists on the Gold Coast and South East Queensland. His repertoire is extremely varied. Changing his singing style for almost any occasion, Glenn sings songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's, right up to the present, from opera to pop and jazz. The audience soon warms up to enjoy themselves as Glenn interacts with some humour and personality to punctuate the songs.
Luella has spent her life successfully performing all over Australia and her fan base continues to grow with each performance. She is certainly one of the hardest working artists this country has to offer and is respected by her peers and appreciated by her audiences.
Luella has won many awards from Tamworth through to Triple J Unearthed.
"When it comes to achievements I don’t believe material trophies are the most important part; they make you feel great but they don’t pay the rent. Music is such a rewarding experience and I feel so blessed to be able to share my life with people through music. My hobby is my work and I feel so grateful for that."
Dennis Morgan has been entertaining for over forty years around Australia and the North Island of New Zealand, playing in bands and also as a solo artist in a wide variety of places. Dennis has also produced three albums and appeared on national television programs such as Pot of Gold, Reg Lindsay's Country Homestead, and Conway Country. The Salute of Don Williams is a reasonably new addition to Dennis' repertoire and has been incredibly well received to date by Don Williams' fans and event organisers everywhere.

Years of constant touring, a string of successful albums and hit-singles plus endless awards and accolades that just keep coming, has well and truly earned this entertaining artist a prominent place amongst the cream of Australian entertainers. Craig is acclaimed as 'Mr. Versatile', by media and fans alike, owing to his ability to adapt his rich voice to his immense and varied repertoire of songs, which spans the spectrum of Ballads through to all styles of Country and on to the ever popular 50's-60's Rock and Roll.
Craig's performances have been enjoyed Australia wide and Internationally, including New Zealand & the USA.
Fortunato Isgro was born 17 March 1983 on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. From a young age, he was introduced to traditional Italian and 50's English music, where family sing-a-longs were a commonplace. His natural gift for music was soon realised at the age of eight when he began teaching himself to play keyboard by ear.
From these humble beginnings, Fortunato started playing and singing professionally in many clubs and pubs on the Gold Coast at the age of sixteen. After being in the industry for a few years, Fortunato decided to broaden his musical capabilities by learning and singing traditional Italian songs. His launch into the Italian scene was well received by the Italian community in Australia and resulted in him establishing regular gigs at many clubs, restaurants, and wineries across the country. Over time, Fortunato has built a strong rapport and fan-base within Australia and is renowned for his powerful voice, extensive repertoire of both English and Italian songs and his ability to entertain large groups of people.
He regularly performs at a number of Italian clubs and festivals throughout Australia, including the Australian Italian Festival Ingham, Hervey Bay Cultural Festival, Stanthorpe Three Saints Festival and the Santa Eufemia Festival Adelaide to name a few.
Dave is a swing/easy-listening crooner, formerly based on Queensland's glorious Coral Coast, and now a permanent resident of Bargara.
After winning the inaugural 2006 Sunshine Coast Senior Superstar, Dave continues to add to his repertoire of fabulous songs such as those recorded by artists like Nat 'King' Cole, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Matt Monro, Perry Como, Andy Williams, Tony Bennett, and of course, Frank Sinatra to name but a only a memorable few.
A local of Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Rob Johns, lead singer of The Thunder Birds, The Playboys, and the Super Group of Nostalgia returns to The Waves for this terrific morning show. With an impressive resume which boasts working partnerships with Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, and Neil Diamond, Rob Johns is a musical talent you won't want to miss.
As a professional performer for the last 17 years, Paul is known for his power and diversity as a vocalist and he has built an impressive resumé and repertoire to match. From his early beginnings as a front man for rock and pop acts, Paul's vocal abilities have had him working in almost every genre of music.
A local legend of country music, Ian has released four albums including Brisbane to Barbed Wire, Sign of the Times, Quinny, and River or the Road, as well as an array of singles. With a recent return to music, Ian appears on The Waves' main stage for you with incredible country music and the occasional yarn.
Cathy Drummond is a renowned performer, having entertained from Brisbane to Birdsville, Bowen to Boulia, and most places in between. Cathy travels thousands of kilometres entertaining with her unique style and rich and soulful voice which washes over her audience like a refreshing spring.
Cathy's inviting charm endears her to her audiences instantly, leaving all captivated by her stories and her quiet elegance. With her effervescent personality that is larger than life Cathy has the rare talent which enables her to work a crowd from tears to euphoria in the blink of an eye. Having grown up in a musical family, there was never any doubt that Cathy would follow in her father's footsteps. Her dad, Kevin Wade was a well-known entertainer and songwriter in the country music industry in the 1970's.
David's repertoire covers a plethora of music from Stephane Grappelli-violin style, right through to country rock. Apart from his outstanding abilities on the violin, David also accompanies himself on guitar and has an amazing vocal ability. Catering for all audiences from line-dancers and jive rock 'n' rollers, through to covert-style spot performances, David holds his listeners and keeps them enthralled with his iconic cover versions and brilliant renditions.
David has performed throughout Australia and across Germany, Spain, Holland, France, the United Kingdom, and the U.S.A, and appears for you now at The Waves Sports Club for this once only show of music and entertainment.
Rodney’s show and standing in the Australian entertainment scene is no accident. It is the result of a long, hard apprenticeship which started many moons ago. From his first engagement playing guitar in an old time dance band at his local hall, to New Faces where he got his first big break, Rodney has survived the highs and the lows of the industry. After his appearance on the New Faces, Rodney joined the Channel Nine Singers on the “In Melbourne Tonight” show which featured Graham Kennedy, Ugly Dave Grey, Bert Newton and other household names, and would later join Australia’s greatest comedian, Col Elliott, not only as his special guest but played the straight man to many of Col’s characters.
As a result of his rising popularity Rodney received requests to be the special guest for other entertainers such as Gloria Loring, The Four Kingsmen, The Delltones, The Platters, Freddie and the Dreamers and the list goes on.
Born in the Netherlands, Sebastiaan moved to Australia in 2002. At a very early age he started to sing and act, and having come from a very musical family, Sebastiaan had music and performance in his blood right from the beginning. Sebastiaan has a playful style of performing, enjoying interaction with his audiences, and having worked with greats such as Greg Lyon, Jim Kelly, Martha Baartz, and B.B King, he certainly has the credentials to offer it with class.
Enjoying a broad selection of musical tastes, Sebastiaan's voice is a mixture of Roy, Dean, and Elvis. Equally comfortable singing rockabilly, rock and roll, and big band swing, a good time is guaranteed for all who attend his shows.
Humble and talented, Dave Veasey has had many years of experience performing for special events and functions, both at home and abroad. With a very diverse repertoire of music ranging from Bee Gees, Queen, Beatles, Beach Boys, Eagles, ACDC, and ABBA, Dave is a hit show with personality and humour to match.
